A new national skills-based initiative

SkillsFWD is an initiative that aims for equitable skills-based hiring. They award grants to organizations who are building the infrastructure that connects learners and workers to education and workforce opportunities. This new approach to hiring could give millions of people a path for economic mobility previously unattainable.

SkillsFWD needed a logo that felt data based, contemporary, and bold. I created a logo that tried to capture many things including a sense of upward mobility, the skills focused upon of the worker expressed as data points, and something that was minimal, clean, and intuitive.

The foundation of a brand

For a budding business to thrive, it needs to be able to know who they are and be proud to express it. For SkillsFWD I created a website along with a small brand guide, business cards, and templates for a presentation slide deck. These elements combine to set up SkillsFWD for success.
