A formative book about harm reduction

Sheila Vakharia is a national expert and speaker on harm reduction and drug policy. She’s worked on drug policies in the United States through the Drug Policy Alliance and is often a keynote speaker for many drug related conferences and several times at the UN. She is also a near and dear friend of mine.

When Sheila was offered a book deal, she decided to take an unexpected approach, directing the book away from academia and towards the average person. Through this idea, we collaborated on a book cover that felt approachable and warm. This tone is also quite unexpected in the drug addiction space.

Graphics

The Harm Reduction Gap is based on science and data. Periodically, a chart was needed to reinforce points made through the book. These are some of the those infographics.
